Twins use CDS Vic to raise $300 for Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital

background hero image

Introducing Sonny and Lennie, 8-year-old twins who have first-hand experience of Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital, which provides world class care for sick children and their families.

The boys wanted to give back to the Hospital and decided that they would raise money through CDS Vic by collecting and returning drink containers. They donated the money they raised to the Good Friday Appeal, a not-for-profit charity that raises funds to support the work of the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Sonny and Lennie had a goal of raising $300, which they more than achieved, making a great contribution to the work funded through the Good Friday Appeal. It also represents more than 3,000 drink containers that were diverted from landfill – a fantastic effort by Sonny and Lennie!

Want to support the Good Friday Appeal’s fundraising efforts for Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital?

Here’s how to donate

  1. Return your eligible drink containers to a CDS Vic refund point.
  2. Donate your container refund by choosing ‘Good Friday Appeal’ on your local Zone Operator’s app (scroll to Electronic Payment to download the app), or using the Good Friday Appeal barcode or Donation Partner IDC2000000397.
  3. Spread the word by encouraging your friends and family to contribute.
