Our Commitment to Fraud, Corruption and Misconduct

We are committed to ensuring the integrity of the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme.  Fraud, corruption and misconduct have no place within our vision to “create a recycling scheme to keep Victoria beautiful”.

Preventing, detecting and responding to fraud, corruption and misconduct is a key part of meeting this commitment. We have zero tolerance for such instances and will take swift and decisive action against individuals or entities engaged in this behavior within our scheme.

CDS Vic apps

We are aware of third-party sites promoting links to apps claiming to belong to the new Victorian Container Deposit Scheme.

Victorians are urged to download the official CDS Vic zone operator apps only from the Apple Store or Google Play to receive their container refunds.

The official zone operator apps ask only for bank account details to deposit refunds. They will never ask customers for credit card details.

To find the official app for your zone, go to https://cdsvic.org.au/refund-point-types

If you have been impacted by a scam, we encourage you to report it to: Consumer Affairs Victoria or Scamwatch
