Make a return

CDS Vic will provide a 10 cent refund for every eligible drink container returned from 1 November.   Every bottle, can and carton you return helps to divert valuable containers from landfill.

Eligible containers

Most aluminium, glass, plastic and liquid paperboard (carton) drink containers between 150mL and 3 litres are eligible. Keep the lids on, we recycle them too!

Refund point types

There are hundreds of refund points across Victoria, so look out for your local. By August 2024 the network will grow to more than 600 refund points.

Donation & other refund types

There are multiple ways to receive your 10 cent refund. You can either keep your refund, or support your favourite cause with a donation.

Make a difference with your change - donate your refund to the Good Friday Appeal

Donate to the Good Friday Appeal

CDS Vic has partnered with the Good Friday Appeal as its first statewide donation partner to help raise vital money for the Royal Children’s Hospital.

The Good Friday Appeal will have priority placement at refund points across Victoria making it easy to donate your container refunds.

You can select the Good Friday Appeal on your local Zone Operator's App or use the Good Friday Appeal Donation Partner ID C2000000397 or barcode at refund points.

Return your eligible containers and support the important work of the Royal Children’s Hospital with your donation - that’s a lot of change!
