Are you CDS Vic’s biggest fan?

It’s our birthday, but we’re giving you the presents.

Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme turns two this November, and it’s a milestone we’re very proud of. In those two years, we’ve worked together to return more than two billion containers. That’s more than two billion containers out of landfill, out of our parks, bushland and waterways, and off our beaches. It’s also more than $200 million back into Victorians’ pockets.

To keep the good vibes going, we’re running a competition and giving you the birthday presents. We’re looking for our biggest fans: the people who make our scheme what it is. If you’re a keen container collector – and you’ve got a creative side – this one goes out to you.

To enter, make a post on Instagram, Facebook, or Tiktok, showing how much you love the scheme. Maybe it’s a video of how you collect, maybe it’s a series of photos celebrating your local depot, maybe you write us a song. We’re looking for creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for CDS Vic.

There are great prizes to be won:

First prize: $2000, four Zoos Victoria animal experience passes, and a donation of $2000 to the CDS Vic donation partner of your choice.

Runner up: $1000 and two Zoos Victoria adult memberships, with kids under 16 added free.

This competition runs from 1-30 November. Make sure your post is public, and visible for judging at the end of that period. Winners will be contacted during the week of 3 December.
